Gov. Dikko Raddah Commissions NDIC's Project in Kankara, reaffirms Commitment to revamping the health sector

Gov. Dikko Umaru Raddah has reaffirmed his unalloyed Commitment to revamping the health sector with infrastructures, well trained manpower and ultra modern facilities. 

Gov. Raddah dropped the hint this Tuesday  during the grand occasion of the commissioning of 20 bed Capacity Maternity Block at Kankara General Hospital constructed by Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation and facilitated by Kankara Association for Community Development (KACD). 

Represented by the state Commissioner for health Dr. Bishir Gambo Saulawa commended the efforts of the NDIC adding that, the corporation has constructed similar facility in Mani Local Government. 

According to him, provision of healthy and secure environment is far beyond politics but moral obligations for every government that means business. 

Gov. Raddah assured the NDIC that the facility will be effectively utilized. 

Earlier, the Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare Alh. Usman UK Bello appealed to the government to provide needed man power and facilities for the hospital. 

In his remarks, the Chairman Hospital Friends Alh. Ibrahim Garba Kankara said the hospital currently rely upon casual staff, obsolete working facilities, old Accident and Emergency Unit, hence the need for government and the NDIC as well to provide more support.

Highlights of the occasion were Award Presentations and symbolic handing over of the edifice to the State Government by representative of the NDIC.
